The Hotel du Marc, the private mansion of Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin located in Reims just opened its doors again after four years of renovation.
Built in 1840-41, the hotel du Marc reflects an era of expansion of the city of Reims. The building is distinguished by the neoclassical style of its elevations.
In 1846, Edouard Werle, successor of Madame Clicquot, acquires the building of Muire in order to exploit the cellars in the basement. This pavilion has the advantage of providing access to the underground by its turrets. The acquisition also allows the extension of the property of the Hotel du Marc. It forms now with this particular hotel, the adjacent house and the outbuildings of the Rue du Temple, the current building.
If the exterior is unchanged, the interior is more representative of the work on the design, with the collaboration of some renowned designers. Judge for yourself: Mathieu Lehanneur, Pablo Reinoso, Fredrikson Stallard and the Campana brothers.
Architect Bruno Moinard who used many fabrics of our Maison and among others the Kiwi fabric that is embossed with a color designed the interiors. You can also find custom made carpets that are also from our Maison.
